Synbiotics: Super Positive Effects

We’re pretty sure you have heard of probiotics, and now that you’re getting familiar with prebiotics, we can talk about the effect they have when combined. Or, what we like to call, synbiotics.

Synbiotics refer to food ingredients or dietary supplements combining probiotics and prebiotics in a form of synergism.

When consuming probiotics, or when talking about probiotics already available (good bacteria) in our digestive system, a lot of factors can affect the efficacy of these particular strains, such as pH, water, oxygen and stress. Prebiotics can enhance the health benefits of existing probiotics by helping them overcome the difficulties they have thriving on their own. Working in conjunction, allows for the successful growth of probiotic bacteria in the colon, creating a bacteria balance in the microbiota.

A good bacteria balance in the microbiota, can help support healthy bodily functions, which can help reduce the inflammatory process in the digestive system, leading to a decrease in diarrhea, cramping, bloating and flatulence. Decreasing the unwanted side effects of consuming probiotics can be solved with a healthy microbiota colonization achieved by using synbiotics.

vibi+® is a good, stable source of prebiotic fiber. And when combined with probiotics, it can help the good bacteria thrive, bringing your digestive system into balance.

Consult your health care provider before making any strict changes to your diet.
